Lent Reflection: 3rd Sunday of Lent (March 19, 2017) - ‘I know that the Messiah is coming, the one called the Christ.’(John 4:25)

Reflection

Today’s Gospel is the story of the Samaritan woman who responds to Jesus when he asks her for a drink. She goes against the conventions—a Samaritan, a woman, and at the well in the middle of the day. She doesn’t recognize Jesus—and he almost teases her until he says who he is. She tells others and they believe on the strength of her testimony.

Challenge

  • Is there someone who I am encouraged to show the way to Jesus?
