Update Your Summer Quantity
It Is Almost Summer.
Depending on the part of the country you are in, summer can mean decreased weekly attendance at church (everyone leaves town for vacation) or increased attendance (everyone arrives in town for vacation). Think now about whether you'll have enough weekly bulletins for that change.
Its easy to change your quantity--right on LPi Express when you upload your publication. Make a note to check how many copies were leftover each weekend and change the quantity accordingly for following weeks.

Bright Ideas! Summer 2012 Is on the Way!
The summer issue of Bright Ideas! is mailing out this week, but you don't have to wait, since all of the new articles and clip art are on Art & Media Portal now. Our Summer 2012 issue is chock-full of borders and clips to help you celebrate your summer activities and also features two new clip art sets we hope you'll find helpful.
With much appreciated help from Agudas Achim Congregation in Alexandria, VA, we've begun to introduce clip art featuring both English and Hebrew. Watch for more clips in future issues, and please contact us with your suggestions at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
You'll also find new stewardship signs in the most recent issue. The clips feature humorous or thought-provoking quotes and sayings regarding stewardship, but are also easily modified to feature your own text. If you need a refresher on how to change clip art text, check out Best of the Blog article in your Spring 2012 issue, or download it from Art & Media Portal by searching for BI2012q2_BestofBlog.pdf.
Fortnight for Freedom, June 21–July 4, 2012.
The USCCB recently released a document, Our First, Most Cherished Liberty: A Statement on Religious Liberty, in defense of religious liberty that calls for a "Fortnight for Freedom" from June 21–July 4. To read the document and view more details on the proposed event, visit www.usccb.org/issues-and-action/religious-liberty/our-first-most-cherished-liberty.cfm.
LPi has designed a special cover, available in full color and black-and-white, to promote the Fortnight for Freedom. The covers are on Art & Media Portal and can be found by searching for keywords "Fortnight for Freedom."
Innovation Then, Innovation Now
State-of-the-art Technology, Superior Customer Service.
Twenty years after introducing Electronic Bulletin Service (EBS), which allowed editors to create their publications on a computer and transmit them to LPi for printing electronically, LPi revolutionized bulletin printing again.
As we celebrate our 40 years, we also mark the nationwide completion of another high-tech initiative, LPi Express. LPi Express is a custom-built software client that takes over once you finish preparing your publication. It converts the file, searches for possible errors, submits to LPi, and notifies you when the process is complete. And, it's as simple as sending a file to your office printer.
This month's customer story has kind words for LPi Express, as well as applications specialist Danny Bojka from our Cromwell, CT office. The story comes from Denise at St. Peter's in Plattsburgh, NY. In appreciation for taking the time to share her story, Denise receives a $100 gift card from LPi, as does Danny, for supporting LPi's mission of Connecting Your Community!
"Our parish bulletin used to be completed by a wonderful parishioner/volunteer here at St. Peter’s. We would simply forward all bulletin announcements/ad/etc. to her email and she would do all the work and send it back to us as an attachment and I would send it off to LPi. Sadly, we lost this wonderful person way too early to cancer.
"Now, the bulletin was 'left in my lap' and believe me, there was a LOT I didn’t know. Everyone at LPi was helpful and understanding with me. Especially, Danny! He taught me how to format pictures before 'cut & paste' into the bulletin. He was kind, helpful and really made it easy to understand what to do.
"I love the new LPi Express! It’s much faster and the email lets me know that it was rec’d. I also enjoy the LPi Bright Ideas! and calendar. I often use their suggestions and love the artwork!"
