Try these Publisher shortcuts:

When you resize a picture in Publisher, do you resize from the corners? If you resize from the corners, you will keep your picture in proportion. If you resize from a middle "handle" you will stretch the picture.

Try this Publisher shortcut: To resize a picture around the middle of the picture, hold down the Control key and then resize from any handle.

Do you use the green dot to rotate images? Click and hold the green dot above an active text or picture box with your mouse. This will rotate the box sideways or upside down.

Try this Publisher shortcut: To rotate around the bottom of the box, hold down the Control key as you rotate the box.
