The Best Catholic Art & Content for Instagram and Facebook Stories

April 24, 2024
Three social media stories with distinct Catholic styles.

Our designers have been working hard to create beautiful and engaging content inside WeCreate for parishes to use in their Facebook and/or Instagram stories! Hundreds of story slides are available for parishes to download and use in the story feature of their social media feeds. Our collection in WeCreate is ever-increasing and includes some stand-alone story slides as well as story slides which make a series.

The series slides are meant to be posted sequentially to your parish’s stories, prompting a viewer to swipe though and engage with your account. New story content is added each month! Let’s dive into some of our favorite pieces!

Use These Facebook and Instagram Story Graphics for Your Parish Social Media Posts

Catholic Educational Story Content

The last Super.

A painting of Melchizedek blessing Abram with bread and wine.
A graphic that says the Passover sacrifice as Jesus is offered as a sacrifice for our sins.

WeCreate has a plethora of story slides about the saints, feast days, special devotions, Sacraments, and all sorts of other Catholic educational content. For example, our artists have recently been creating amazing story content with a special focus on the Eucharist in preparation for the National Eucharistic Congress coming up in July, like the ones featured above.

Catholic Prayer Story Content

A prayer by St. Ignatius of Loyola founder of the Jesuits.
A graphic that says teach us good Lord to serve you as you deserve to give and not to count the cost.
A graphic that says to fight and not to heed the wounds to toil and not to seek for rest to labor.
A graphic that says and not to ask for reward except that of knowing that we are doing your will.

With the many choices of story slides that share prayers in WeCreate, you can frequently share special prayers and prayer ideas with your community. Be it for Lent, a special saint’s feast day, the Month of the Rosary, or another special liturgical occasion, these slides are a great way to engage your parishioners and invite them into a deeper relationship with God. Featured above is a story series that shares a prayer written by St. Ignatius. We thought the designers did a fantastic job creating a striking title slide that draws the viewer in to engage with the rest of the prayer!

Stories for Parish Programs, Information, and Events

A graphic that says registration is now open for our advent retreat.
A graphic that says meet our staff on it.
A graphic that says
A group of young people are standing next to each other.

This type of stand-alone story slide includes space for parishes to insert their own, unique content. You might include dates and times of where to attend an event, information about your ministry leaders, links to registration forms, and anything else your heart desires! These four examples encompass the range of options you can find inside of WeCreate for stories that point to parish programs, events, and more.

Stories for Special Liturgical Celebrations and Holidays

A graphic that says All Saints Day November 1 on it with a gold background.

WeCreate includes a number of story slides perfect for circulating information about when your Mass times and other liturgical events are taking place. Simply use this type of slide as a background and then type in your own information on top of it to keep your community in the know! We thought we’d share these two examples because they are particularly beautiful yet sensibly unbusy — perfect for parishes to include their own information!

There are story slides inside of WeCreate for all sorts of holidays and special cultural celebrations including Black History Month, Mother’s & Father’s Day, Asian American Pacific Islander History Month, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Earth Day, Juneteenth and so many more! This special Mother’s Day series and stand-alone slide caught our eye to share. The series calls all of those who might feel left out on Mother’s Day into ministry and community while the stand-alone slide is elegant, yet modern.

It matters why you do something, not just how you do it. Are we allowing our worship to transform us, or are we only concerned with transforming our worship?
